Unannounced PS5 First-Person Shooter Apparently Releasing in 2024

Internet sleuths have found references to an unannounced PS5 first-person shooter in the portfolio of a former PS Studios Visual Arts developer, and it’s apparently releasing in 2024. Sony has previously confirmed that PS Studios are collectively working on well over 25 new IP, including AAA shooters. However, we haven’t seen a single reveal yet, and there’s been no indication of a release window for any of the games.

PS5 first-person shooter likely in development at Firewalk Studios or Deviation Games

As reported by ResetEra and PCGame About, senior character artist Frank Aliberti (who now works at 2K) lists two PS5 shooters on his ArtStation profile: a third-person co-op shooter (thought to be Helldivers 2) out in 2023, and a first-person shooter expected in 2024.

So far, we know that Sony has one AAA shooter in development at Deviation Games, and although there’s no official confirmation whether it’s third-person or first-person, job listings suggest that it might be a first-person shooter. Then, there’s the Sony partnership with Firewalk Studios comprised of former Call of Duty and Destiny developers. This partnership was announced in 2021 and given the development team’s history, it’s widely believed that the companies are working on a AAA shooter.

Whatever the case, it looks like we might finally get more (official) clues about Firewalk and Deviation projects in 2023.
