New Naughty Dog game will have multiple script writers, according to company co-president Neil Druckmann. During an interview with The New Yorker, Druckmann revealed that he’s chosen not to write the script alone or with a single partner. This time, Naughty Dog will have a “writer’s room.”
Neil Druckmann “stoked” to show new Naughty Dog game
Druckmann told The New Yorker that Naughty Dog’s next game will be “structured more like a TV show,” unlike the studio’s previous games, whereby there will be a team of writers working on the project. Unfortunately, his comments were misconstrued due to a misleading tweet by Geoff Keighley (via The Game Awards’ Twitter account), prompting him to deliver a clarification. He also said that he is “stoked” to show the “projects,” indicating that he’s referring to multiple games.
I’m sure no one will misconstrue what this means!
(Spoiler: it’s about making our games in an even more collaborative manner! Stoked to show you our projects as soon as we can!) https://t.co/Vb5HzuMCXr pic.twitter.com/FdtFgthVtv

Rumor has it that The Last of Us 3 is currently in development with Neil Druckmann at the helm, but it’s unclear if this will be Naughty Dog’s next game. The rumored Uncharted reboot is apparently being developed at a different studio. There are no new updates regarding The Last of Us multiplayer.
