A recently released PS5 action adventure game is at risk of being delisted from the PlayStation Store as its developer has gone bankrupt. GTA-like AA game Samson was developed and published by Liquid Swords, founded in 2020 by Christofer Sundberg, who previously led Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios.
Samson was Liquid Swords’ debut title, and unfortunately, it failed to woo critics. The game first launched on PC in April 2026, followed by a PS5 release in September.
According to a new report, Liquid Swords has not paid its employees their salaries for several months, prompting action from Swedish authorities. With the studio declared bankrupt, the government will reportedly step in to compensate employees.
A bankruptcy trustee has already been appointed, who is hopeful that Liquid Swords will find a buyer.
Here’s where things can get tricky for Samson, though. Since the game was developed and published by Liquid Swords, what happens to Samson is up in the air. The IP’s fate will depend on whether a buyer is found.
Samson costs $24.99 on the PS Store. We’ll update our readers if the game receives a price drop.

In case you missed it, the PlayStation Store recently dropped an awesome PS5 adventure game you shouldn’t sleep on. Created by the well-known Argentine horror duo Andrés Borghi and Tobías Rusjan (in collaboration with Saibot Studios), Tenebris Somnia is a unique survival horror adventure that has already earned very positive user ratings on the PS5 and PC.
Tenebris Somnia blends 2D retro aesthetics with FMV-style live-action cutscenes created by an award-winning film crew from Argentina. Check out a trailer below:
“Tenebris Somnia is a survival horror adventure game in the same vein as classics like Silent Hill or Resident Evil, but adapted to a retro 2D aesthetic from the 8-or 16-bit era,” an official description reads. “You will struggle to survive while solving puzzles and fighting horrible creatures. Yet the secrets of the game lie within its cinematics. When you reach certain key points, you will see sequences from a completely different point of view, made in live action with real actors and practical effects.”
Tenebris Somnia promises a disturbing, dark story.
On the PS Store, the game launched with a 20% discount offer for PS Plus members. Subscribers can buy Tenebris Somnia for $19.99 instead of $24.99 until October 30, 2026.

In case you missed it, PS Plus Extra and Premium users can now play an award-winning PS5 adventure game via the catalog. Developed by MoonHood, The Midnight Walk is the first game from the October 2026 catalog update to roll out.
The Midnight Walk is available to subscribers in the UK, USA, and Japan. Players in other regions will be able to access the title on Tuesday, October 20.
Brought to us by the minds behind Lost in Random, Fe, and Ghost Giant, The Midnight Walk is a horror adventure game in which players use a flame to get through a dark world.
“Become The Burnt One, befriend a lost lantern creature named Potboy, and use his flame to light your way through a conflicting world of wonder and horror,” an official overview reads. “Survive and outsmart the many monsters eager to devour your little friend’s flame as you experience five tales of fire and darkness, featuring an incredible cast of odd characters.”
The Midnight Walk can be played on the PS5 as well as PSVR2, making this the first VR game that Sony has added to the catalog in a long time.

Several PS5 and PS4 first-party exclusive games have suddenly disappeared from the PS Store, causing concern. Over the past few days, I’ve seen threads pop up on gaming forums complaining that titles like God of War 3 Remastered, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and even the beloved Knack 2 have been removed from sale. However, I’m confident that this is just a bug.
This issue is limited to the Americas. I can confirm that right now, all the aforementioned games are available for purchase in other regions’ storefronts and are even part of the ongoing PS Store promotion.
PS Store users in Mexico claim that after recent currency changes, Sony made several pricing errors, which is probably why some first-party games have been temporarily delisted.
So, no, Sony isn’t gearing up to announce sequels or release new bundles. And I doubt first-party games are being pulled from sale. As mentioned above, the issue is limited to the Americas, and we do know Sony has been fiddling with currency, so this is either a bug or a temporary removal.
We’ll update our readers when the games are back on sale.

Two beloved PS4 adventure games are being delisted soon, and PS Store users have one last chance to buy them before they disappear. Assemble Entertainment has announced that Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry and Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice will be delisted from Steam this month, and last year’s developments suggest they’ll be removed from all online storefronts.
With the aforementioned games delisted, the entire Leisure Suit Larry series will no longer be available for purchase digitally. Last year, publisher Assemble Entertainment removed the first six games from sale. However, none of those games were released on PlayStation.
Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry and Wet Dreams Dry Twice will be delisted from Steam on October 23, and we expect them to be removed from the PS Store around the same time or shortly afterwards.
“We’ve had an amazing time bringing Larry back, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined him on his adventures, laughed at his questionable decisions, and supported the games along the way,” Assemble wrote. “It’s been a fantastic run, and we’re happy we got to be part of it. Unfortunately, we can’t share anything about his future.”
Speculation suggests the Leisure Suit Larry series has been scrubbed due to expiring publishing agreements. Electronic Arts subsidiary Codemasters owns the IP.

PS5 and PS4 players can get $100 PlayStation Store credit (Wallet Funds) for just $80 in a limited-time Costco deal. The promotion is part of the company’s Members Appreciation Days, running from October 5 to October 11. There is a limit of two transactions per customer.
The Costco offer is available both online and in stores, and also extends to Wallet Funds worth $150. Customers can get two $75 cards for just $120.
If you’re eyeing up GTA VI’s Ultimate Edition, you can grab it with the $120 deal and still have money left over for another game!
For those who plan to purchase the cards online, there is a few hours’ wait until the PS Store redemption codes are emailed out to customers. Some users have reported that their online orders are being immediately canceled, but Reddit users report that this typically happens when the billing address for your mode of payment doesn’t match the membership address on file.
Although Costco’s deal expires on October 11, it can end sooner if inventory is exhausted, so we advise acting fast to avoid disappointment.
Unfortunately, this offer is only available in the U.S. at the time of this writing.

In case you missed it, Sony has already confirmed a PS Plus Extra and Premium October 2026 game for the PS5. Included in September’s PlayStation State of Play was the announcement that Pigeons at Play’s hit co-op game Mycopunk will make its console debut on PS Plus and the PS Store simultaneously.
Mycopunk will be a PS Plus Extra and Premium day-one game, joining the catalog on Tuesday, October 20. Although Sony staggers catalog games by region, we expect Mycopunk to be available in all regions on the same date due to its day-one status.
As for what Mycopunk is all about, it’s a co-op first-person shooter. The game is already a hit on PC.
“A ragtag squad of robot rejects is hired by the SAXON corporation and given one last shot at profitable glory (and avoiding the scrap heap),” an official overview reads. “They are the New Atlas Hazard Crew, a ramshackle squad of exterminators sent to uncover the mysteries behind a planet-wide fungal catastrophe. Embark on a series of dangerous planet-side missions to drive back the mycological menace.”
The full PS Plus Extra and Premium October 2026 lineup and release schedule will be announced by Wednesday, October 14.
