Lies of P length will last around 30 hours for an average player, developer Round8 Studio has revealed. In an interview with Prankster101 Productions, director Choi Ji-Won explained the team’s approach to length, and said that the studio found a middle ground to target players who prefer longer games as well as players who opt for short experiences. While 30 hours isn’t exactly “short,” Round8 suggests that Lies of P’s structure will allow players to easily tackle the campaign playing in short spurts.
Lies of P length explained
Those who want to see everything Lies of P has to offer will get about 60 hours of playtime, according to Ji-Won. “Even for the player who wants to enjoy the shorter game, they can take it stage by stage,” he explained. “Each stage, if you really go through it, will take around 10 hours, and each stage has different characteristics and features. If you take it one stage at a time, as one game, then you’ll enjoy it step by step.”
First revealed in November 2021 and expected to launch in 2023, Lies of P’s announcement piqued interest due to its dark action-RPG setting inspired by Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio. The game takes cues from Souls-like games including Bloodborne.
