New Bungie Game Being Announced Today, Also on Switch – Report

PlayStation State of Play February 2025 reveals will include a new Bungie game, if another leak is to be believed. Currently known as project Gummy Bears, the live service game is reportedly also releasing on the Nintendo Switch and PC.

Little is known about Gummy Bears beyond information unearthed from Bungie’s website, when the game was in incubation stage. Rumor has it that the project is now being developed by a different team within Sony.

From what we’ve learned so far, Gummy Bears is supposed to be a MOBA inspired by Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. series. Bungie’s website described it as “a team-based action game inspired by several genres in a brand-new, science-fantasy universe.” However, things may have changed since the game left incubation phase.

According to Spanish website Vandal, we’ll finally see Gummy Bears today, and it’ll launch in 2025 on the PS5, Switch, and PC. The website didn’t mention Xbox platforms, but when Sony acquired Bungie, the studio pledged to release its games — including the upcoming Marathon — on all platforms.

Considering the above and the fact that Sony’s live service endeavors don’t seem to be doing too well, we won’t be surprised if Gummy Bears is also announced for Xbox.
