Dead Space Remake Release Planned for Early 2023

Following reports that Dead Space remake release is now planned for 2023 rather than late 2022, Electronic Arts has officially confirmed that it’s targeting an early 2023 release window. This was revealed in the game’s latest developer diary and was separately announced on Twitter as well. According to Motive Studio, the developers already have a launch date in mind but they want to make sure that Dead Space meets expectations before announcing anything further.

Why Dead Space remake release is planned for 2023

“We want to make sure that we are in a place where the game we’re going to deliver is going to be building upon the expectations of fans,” Motive Studio said. “That’s what’s most important. So right now, we’ll say early next year. We have a date in mind, we want to make sure that everything converges for this.” Dead Space remake will be playable from start to finish in a few weeks.

Elsewhere in the livestream, the studio showcased some of the improvements players can expect in the upcoming remake. The developers have placed a special emphasis on audio occlusion, weapon sound effects, and the ALIVE system that controls protagonist Isaac Clarke’s heartbeat, breathing, and dialog. In other news, Elden Ring beat Horizon Forbidden West to become PlayStation’s most-downloaded game in February 2021, and Russia has reportedly legalized piracy to combat sanctions from companies like Sony and Microsoft.
