It looks the release date for the long-rumored Horizon multiplayer game isn’t too far off, and if a recent leak is any indication, it’ll feature cartoon aesthetics akin to Fortnite.
Horizon multiplayer game is Guerrilla Games’ worst-kept secret
Horizon standalone multiplayer has been rumored for a number of years but Guerrilla Games has never officially announced it. However, official job advertisements and a number of leaks have confirmed its existence. The latest release date speculation and cartoon-inspired graphics are also courtesy of a Reddit leak. We’re not going to host the content here for obvious reasons, especially since Sony’s busy scrubbing the leaked footage and screenshots, but you can find copies on Reddit and ResetEra.
The cartoon aesthetics need no explanation if you’ve seen the footage and screenshots. As far as the release is concerned, fans are speculating that it’ll launch soon because the footage is apparently from a “very early” dev build dating back to 2020. Considering the state of the footage, it looks like Horizon multiplayer game was well into development between 2-3 years ago.
Sony has promised it’ll release a number of live service projects within the next couple of years so it all checks out. We’ll update our readers when we have more information.
