A 2025 Bandai Namco Entertainment-published PS5, PS Plus action game is shutting down, the company has announced. Synduality: Echo of Ada is an action RPG / third-person shooter that received mixed reviews at launch. The game was offered as a PS Plus Essential monthly freebie in December 2025.

Synduality will shut down on an unspecified date in May 2027, following which it will transition to an offline-only game.
Those who already purchased Synduality will transition to the offline version for free, and some save data and purchased content will be migrated. Whether PS Plus Essential users get the offline version for free remains to be seen.
After October 2026, Synduality will cease updates and events. Microtransactions will be disabled on December 18. If you’ve already purchased currency, you can use it in-game until May 2027. However, keep in mind that in-game currency comes with a 150-day time limit, so use it now rather than later.
“The entire development and operations team would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the ‘Drifters’ who have raced through the harsh realities of the surface world with us, and to everyone who has forged strong bonds with their ‘Magus’ partners,” developer Game Studio wrote.
