PS5 players are advised to claim a free upgrade for a 2022 action game before it’s delisted from the PS Store. Over the weekend, Outright Games announced that DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace is in the process of being removed from digital storefronts due to its licensing agreement coming to an end.
DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace free PS5 upgrade might not be available for long
The announcement by Outright Games was posted on Steam, and although we didn’t spot any mention of the PS5/PS4 versions, an expired license means the game is in the process of being removed from all digital storefronts. At the time of this writing, DC League of Super-Pets is accessible via PlayStation.com but it will be deactivated soon.
As a reminder, DC League of Super-Pets did not launch on both PS5 and PS4 at the same time. The game first launched on last-gen platforms, followed by the PS5 release months later. However, those who own the game on the PS4 are entitled to a free PS5 upgrade.
The game will remain in players’ libraries as long as they have purchased it. Technicaly, the delisting shouldn’t affect players’ ability to claim the PS5 upgrade. However, Sony‘s storefront isn’t exactly user-friendly when it comes to things like entitlements and licenses, so to be on the safe side, make sure to grab the upgrade before the product page is gone.
