PlayStation fans may want to temper their expectations for today’s State of Play, according to a reliable insider, as the show is allegedly set to feature “lots of minor games” and not the big-name announcements some were expecting.
Insider ‘knows the lineup’ for today’s State of Play
Insider The Snitch, who previously correctly leaked the announcements in PlayStation’s June State of Play, has posted on Discord that he knows the lineup for today’s State of Play and it won’t include big named releases such as Wolverine 2, a new Silent Hill, or a Metal Gear Solid remake.

Sony hasn’t revealed what will be shown during the State of Play, only that the event will be 20 minutes long and will feature game updates from both its Japanese partners and studios around the world. God of War Ragnarok’s developers have seemingly teased that the sequel will make an appearance, though this is unconfirmed.
The Snitch didn’t reveal what games would be included in the State of Play, though did suggest that many of the major announcements some are anticipating would not be featured during the event. Considering Sony’s last State of Play was held in June, viewers may be expecting something more from this presentation that, if The Snitch’s claim is correct, the company may not be able to provide.
