2024’s Surprise Hit PS5 Shooter Getting Free DLC

Focus Entertainment has announced that its surprise hit 2024 PS5 shooter is getting another round of free DLC, much to players’ delight. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, which earned accolades, is thanking players for their “unwavering support” with another year of post-launch support.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 getting second year of free and paid DLC on PS5

The announcement was made in a June 2025 community update following the release of patch 8.0: Siege Update. The update added the new Siege Mode and White Scars and Blood Angels cosmetics alongside general improvements.

“We’re happy to announce that a second year of both free and DLC content included in a new yearly season pass is on the way!” Focus Entertainment wrote. “This extended support to Space Marine 2 has been possible thanks to your unwavering support, so once again, thank you very much for being part of it!. Expect new PvE missions, enemies, weapons, and… more. It’s too early to provide more info, but stay tuned!”

For now, players will be delighted to note that a major update — patch 10.0 — is planned for September. However, it won’t bring new content just yet. “Unfortunately, that also means that the new PvP mode we were planning to release alongside the 9.0 update will be postponed to this big 10.0 update as well,” Focus Entertainment added.

We’ll update our readers when we have more information.

PS Plus Removes 2021 PS5, PS4 Game Without a Warning

A 2021 PS5, PS4 game that was added to PS Plus last December seems to have been removed without a warning. Players noticed that one of the best metroidvania games on the service, FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch, quietly disappeared from the Extra catalog sometime recently.

PS Plus game FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch may disappeared temporarily

Games typically leave PS Plus at the one-year mark, with a few leaving after six months and some leaving after 24 months. Unless Sony’s agreement with publisher Bilibili was for six months, it’s possible that FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch’s disappearance is simply a PS Store glitch, in which case this is a temporary removal.

Sony never added the game to the ‘Last Chance to Play’ section, so we can confirm that there wasn’t any kind of announcement of its departure.

This isn’t the first time that a title was pulled from the PS Plus Extra catalog without a warning. Sometimes, the disappearances last several weeks before games reappear. Sony doesn’t comment on their removal, so we’re guessing that it’s likely an SKU issue on the PS Store.

That said, there have been a few odd occasions where games did leave PS Plus permanently without an announcement. But we don’t think that’s the case with FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch as players who previously downloaded the game from PS Plus are still able to access it. It’s just new players who can’t find it in the catalog.

We can confirm that at the time of this writing, FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch’s PS Store page doesn’t carry the PS Plus Extra tag.

PS5 Port of Switch Exclusive Action Adventure Game Leaked

A PS5 port of a 2021 Nintendo Switch console exclusive has been leaked by both a rating board and the PS Store. Danganronpa creator’s action adventure puzzle game World’s End Club, which originally launched in 2020 on the Apple Arcade, seems set to launch on the PS5 soon.

Nintendo Switch console exclusive game World’s End Club all but confirmed for PS5

A PS5 rating for World’s End Club was originally spotted by Gematsu back in early June. Now, a PS Store listing for the game has gone live without a formal announcement.

World’s End Club can be wishlisted now, but a release date or window has not been revealed. Its PS Store page doesn’t specify platforms, so there is a chance the game will land on the PS4 too.

Developed by Too Kyo Games with Kazutaka Kodaka serving as creative director, World’s End Club tells the story of a group of Tokyo school children, who are part of a club comprised of “oddball kids from all over Japan.”

“Reycho and the other members are somehow different than the other kids around them,” a synopsis states. “Then, one day, during the summer while on the bus for their class trip, they get into an accident. When they wake up, they’re in a theme park under the sea. Reycho and the others are trapped inside this strange, long-abandoned place.”

We’ll update our readers when a release date is announced.

Can’t Claim Free Diablo 4 From PS Plus? Here’s a Fix

PS Plus Essential July 2025 monthly free games began rolling out in the early hours of Tuesday, and players began reporting right away that they were unable to claim their free copy of Diablo 4. The issue mostly affects those attempting to claim the game via PS App. Luckily, there’s a simple workaround but you’ll need to use your PS5 console for that.

Diablo 4 free PS Plus version not available via PS App due to PS Store SKU issues

On your PS5 console, simply head over to the PS Plus tile, from where you can claim your monthly games. When you select Diablo 4, open the drop down menu, and select the other ‘Game’ option than the one that’s already highlighted / checked off.

Once you select the other ‘Game,’ you’ll see a message saying that Diablo 4 is included in PS Plus. Simply follow the on-screen instructions and the game will appear in your library.

There’s currently no workaround for claiming the game via PS App, so you’ll need to use your console for this one.

I’ve never downloaded any version of Diablo 4 before nor have I taken part in any beta tests, but I was still hit with the glitch. PS Store is known for making a mess of SKUs, so that’s the likely culprit.

Underrated PS4 Action Adventure Game 80% Off on PS Store

Image: Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation Store)

An underrated and oft-overlooked PS4 action adventure game is 80% off in a limited-time PS Store deal that ends soon. 2017’s Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, which is playable on the PS5, is just $5.99 for a few more days.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider PS Store deal is its lowest price yet

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider started off as Dishonored 2 DLC but was spun off into a stand-alone title. If you’ve played any of the Dishonored games and skipped over Death of the Outsider, now is a great time to pick it up as $5.99 is its lowest price yet.

We also recommend picking up Dishonored: Death of the Outsider if you haven’t played any of the Dishonored games. Although the series has earned praise from players and critics alike, stealth games might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Given its price and length, Death of the Outsider is perfect to dip your toe in the water and see if Dishonored is for you.

“Take on the role of Billie Lurk (aka Megan Foster), once one of Dunwall’s most notorious killers-for-hire,” its description reads. “Reunited with your old mentor, the legendary assassin Daud, you undertake the greatest assassination ever conceived: killing the Outsider, a god-like figure whom Billie and Daud see as instrumental to some of the Empire’s most dishonorable moments.”

The sale will end on July 3.
