Monster Hunter: World's newest crossover event targets Assassin's Creed

Monster Hunter is getting a dash of stealth and stabs for its most recent crossover event. But, don't expect these behemoths to go down as easy as a rooftop guard.

Assassin's Creed is the subject of Monster Hunter: World's newest crossover. Ezio and Bayek are the two famed Assassins who star in this event. There's an item called "Bayek Layered Armor" that dresses the hunter like Assassin's Creed Origin's protagonist; unfortunately, it's only for show and doesn't actually affect any stats. However, the Assassin's Hood (modeled after Ezio's look) increases movement speed and allows for quicker hiding.

The Assassin's Creed content can be accessed in the events tab under the designation of "SDF: Silent, Deadly, Fierce." It tasks you with slaying an Odogaron, a Deviljho, and a Lunastra in the arena. Every time this is accomplished, a Senu's Feather will drop. It takes four feathers to craft both Bayek's armor and the Assassin's Hood.

This event doesn't quite follow the Assassin's credo in that not everything is permitted. This crossover is only for PS4 and Xbox One players. PC folks don't get to pretend they're sneaky assassins will hunting fearsome monsters.
